  • Help with VBS Supplies

    Help us take our VBS children on an Expedition to Norway! Click here to signup for items that can be dropped off at the church office this week or next or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for a list of perishable items that will need to be delivered the week of VBS.

  • Churchwide Picnic

    Join us at the Lodge this Sunday after worship for a churchwide picnic.Food and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dessert to share. Donations will be taken at the door (suggested $5/person, $15/family).

  • Jobs for Life

    Southwood will hold our second Jobs for Life class this fall, in continued partnership with The CornerStone Initiative, Huntsville Housing Authority, and Westside Church. Classes will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings, September 12-November 17. While we will need volunteers to provide meals, join the prayer team and work with the business network, we are particularly recruiting champions (mentors) in advance.   • Fruit of the Spirit: Kids! Summer Sunday schoolSun, Jun 5

    Join us for Southwood Kids' Summer Sunday school, Sunday mornings 9:00-10:10am.
    Bring your kids for a fun and engaging 8 week study as we dive into the Fruit of the Spirit in the book of Galatians. Kindergarten through 5th grade completed will meet together in Hwy45 room upstairs for a time of games, worship, prayer, and small group time while learning Biblical truths.

    Join us for a fun but gratifying week as we serve four different ministries within our city. They are Deep Roots of Alabama, Lincoln Village Ministries, Manna House and The Care Center. Your kids will have the opportunity to learn about God's grace as they serve others. For ages 6th grade completed.

    Join Southwood Kids' Expedition Norway Cross Culture VBS! June 13-16, 9:00am-12:00noon.
    This year we are mission focused and expanding our children's world view. Children will have an opportunity to experience the culture of Norway through hands-on activities, games and food while learning Biblical truths. They will have an opportunity to see how God works in the lives of children across the world in Norway. For ages 3 years old (September 1st, 2015) to 5th grade completed. Your child must be potty trained in order to attend.
