For completed 6, 7, 8 graders. Join us from 1-2pm for water games and all kinds of craziness. 6th graders come early at 12:30pm.

Where: Local pool (TBD)

For 6,7,8 graders completed. Join us from 12-1 to swim, eat lunch and get some fun time together. Bring $2 food.

Mark your calendars! Edge, our Jr. High camp for completed 6-8 graders, is June 3-27 at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, TN. Call Kim in the church office to see if any spots are available or to be put on a waiting list.

Ken Leggett Email Ken		Associate Pastor, Director of High-Life
Ken is originally from South Carolina. A graduate of Columbia International University, earning a degree in Bible and Youth Ministry, Ken completed his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Ken joined the Southwood family as Director of Youth Ministries in May 2001 and was ordained as an Associate Pastor in June 2003. Ken assumed the role of Interim Pastor in February 2009 and returned to youth ministry in September 2010. Having invested his life in youth ministry for over 20 years, Ken considers himself a “Lifer”. He loves mentoring students and leaders while living all things High-Life. He enjoys LIFE!, which includes people, backpacking, good coffee, art & culture, the great outdoors and teenagers. Ken and his wife, Jeanette, have three children, Ayers, Addie Grace and Keller. Jeanette has a degree in Music Therapy from Charleston Southern and has worked as a director in Youth Ministry prior to marrying Ken. Jeanette loves people, hospitality, facebook, warm weather, and all things southern.
Chad Townsley Email Chad		Associate Pastor, Director of Junior High-Life
Born and raised in Huntsville, Chad attended Southwood as a high school student and returned to join the youth staff in June of 2010. Chad received his undergraduate degree in Religion from Samford University in 2005 and his Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2010. As the Director of Jr. High, Chad finds great joy in spreading the love and affection of Jesus by connecting with Jr. Highers and their parents through teaching and relationship building. In addition to loving baseball and other sports, Chad is an avid movie watcher, loves music of all kinds and since becoming a homeowner will watch pretty much anything that comes on HGTV. Chad married his wife Annaliese, a native of Nashville, TN and a graduate of Covenant College, in June of 2005. They welcomed their first child, Lyla, to their family in August of 2011. We are thrilled to have Chad and Annaliese on the High-Life team during this season in Student Ministries!
Hayden Howell Email Hayden		Junior High Assistant Director
Hayden grew up in Dothan, Alabama. In 2008, She graduated from Covenant College majoring in English Education. Through different ministry experiences during college, Hayden began to see God directing her heart towards church and youth ministry. Seeking to grow in God’s Word and be trained for ministry, she began studying at Covenant Theological Seminary and received her Master of Arts in Educational Ministries in May 2010. On June 1, she began working at Southwood as the Junior High Female Director. Hayden loves the beach, the peanut festival, and hang-gliding. She has a heart for intergenerational ministry of the church and is excited about serving and working with Junior High students, parents, Junior Crew members, adults, and staff in the building up of Christ’s Body and expanding His Kingdom in the Huntsville community.
Kayla Stanfield Email Jake		Senior High Assistant Director
Kayla moved to Huntsville summer of 2007 as a two-year intern after graduating from the University of South Carolina. By God’s grace and providence she became the Senior High Director of Girls Ministry in August of 2009. Kayla loves any and all opportunities to talk with students about Jesus. She has a heart for small groups and getting student connected with Jesus and the church. Kayla loves enabling adult leaders to be actively engaged in the kingdom of God through youth ministry at High-Life. Kayla married the love of her life Robert, who also loves youth ministry, in May of 2010.
Winnie Winford Email Kim		Senior High Assistant Director
Winnie came to work for Southwood in October 2007 as the Youth Intern after graduating from the University of South Carolina. Growing up as an Air Force kid, she lived 5 different places including California and England and graduated from high school in Wyoming. During college Winnie did a summer youth internship and fell in love with students. Since then she has felt a strong call to anything and everything with youth ministry. When coming to visit High-Life in Spring 2007, Winnie fell in love with the elders, the crew, parents and the students and couldn't wait to get here. In June 2010 Winnie's job changed to be the Assistant Sr High Director, focusing on the ministry to 9th and 10th grade students. Winnie loves making and eating chocolate chip cookies, traveling and being around people!
Sharon Dutcher Email Sharon		Executive Assistant
Sharon is originally from Arkansas where she met her husband while attending the University of Arkansas. Her background is Administration and her passion is using that to further God’s kingdom. Sharon and husband Dave have two children, Lori Beth who was recently married and Josh who is in school at Auburn. The Dutcher family landed in Huntsville about 5 years ago after many moves with Dave’s job. The entire family has participated in Youth Ministry and has been passionate about investing in students. Sharon and Dave enjoy time at the beach, riding bikes, hiking and playing with their Brittany Spaniel, Luke.
Kim Delchamps Email Kim		Student Ministries Admin
Kim was born in Mobile, AL where both her parents were both born and raised. Being a military kid, she moved multiple times before her dad retired in Huntsville, AL. Huntsville has been home since 1986. She began working at Southwood as the receptionist just before the church made the move to our current facility. It has been a great 15 years! Outside of work, she enjoys being with friends which may include shopping, going to movies, playing tennis or just visiting in their homes while their children play. Kim loves her friend's children and you can often see her in Target or running errands around town with Ayers, Addie Grace, Keller, etc.
