Meet the Sneeds
If you have ever had the opportunity to visit in Bill and JoAnn Sneed’s home, you immediately feel a sense of welcome and belonging. Their Southern manners and delight in people put a stranger at ease immediately whether at home, church or Lincoln Village. The Sneeds can be found serving at the Information Desk many a Sunday morning and in the nursery rocking a baby. Bill is a deacon and oversees the finances of Lincoln Village Ministry and both Sneeds work in the Food Pantry once a month. JoAnn serves through her hospitality–especially her cooking. New members have enjoyed JoAnn’s cooking at dinner at the Honeycutt’s home as have deacons and elders at their monthly dinner meeting.Through their fourteen years at Southwood, they have served at many church suppers, Berean events and in the nursery. He served on the Pastoral Search Committee which brought Mike Honeycutt here. The Sneeds enjoy many parts of Southwood including the worship services, fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ, serving the church, the friends they have made and church leadership and unity. Bill is retired from NASA and finds his office on the golf course many a morning. JoAnn is not only an excellent cook but is known for her sewing as well. She is well-versed in hand sewing and has done work for Martha Pullen. JoAnn’s Snow Village during the Christmas season is a sight to see. Together Bill and JoAnn enjoy their three children and five grandchildren as well as their church family. Go by the Information Booth in the courtyard on a Sunday and say hello to one of Southwood’s most hospitable couples who live out what it means to serve the body of Christ well.
