Meet the Larroux Family
Jean III
Jean loves life, all of it. His ‘bucket list’ has many, many items, but he’s recently crossed off ‘meeting Jimmy Buffett’ and ‘watching the Saints win the SuperBowl.’ He is still planning to sail around the world, learn fluent Spanish, and move from a ‘before’ model in the P90X informercial to an ‘after’ model. He hopes to say, “I’m 40 and in the best shape of my life…” He loves to cook, do carpentry, graphic design and hopes to restore an old convertible Karman Ghia. “I am very excited about Huntsville and this new chapter of our lives. It is clear that God is bringing us here and we’re ready to hold on for the ride!” His favorite thing about Southwood so far is Ken Leggett. Jean calls Ken his ‘special butterfly’ and hopes to help Ken conquer his fear of germs.
Kim
When asked what she loves, Kim’s immediate response was “I love gardening and cooking.” Kim loves the outdoors—whether that’s a walk along the bay or an afternoon in the garden. Her favorite flowers are gerber daisies and antique roses. She wants to learn to grow antique roses and would love to have them in her yard here in Huntsville. It’s no surprise that her favorite color is green. She is a novice photographer and looks forward to learning the trade. Kim enjoys both the symphony and the ballet. Her musical taste is diverse - she listens to classical music, Van Morrison and old Michael Jackson. Her favorite movie? No hesitation—“The Count of Monte Cristo.” When thinking of her family’s move to Huntsville, Kim expresses excitement to see what God is going to do in the life of her family. She already sees the gospel growing in the life of her kids through this move. “Moving to Huntsville is like a present at Christmas”, she says. “You know it’s a great gift but you can’t wait to unwrap it and see all that will come from it.”
Ann Elizabeth
Ann Elizabeth (we call her Dani) likes all football and soccer and shares in the family’s love for the Saints. She loves band plays the trumpet and loves hanging out with family. She is getting excited about moving here after meeting some awesome people and getting familiar with Huntsville. She loves eating chicken wings and not the wimpy ones. If they don’t make you sweat it’s not worth it. Her sister Hannah says what you need to know about Dani is she may seem quiet but once you get to know her she is super crazy fun.
Jean IV
Jean absolutely loves hanging out with his friends. He loves playing and watching golf and soccer, going to the beach and anything outdoors. He is a huge Ultimate Frisbee fan and loves any NCAA sports (major sports) as well as NFL football (mainly Saints). He also loves watching European Soccer (English Premier League and Barclays Premier League). His absolute favorite thing in the world to do is watch rivalry games, in any sport, especially High School, NCAA, and NFL rivalries. There is nothing like a good rivalry.
Jean loves bacon, chicken tenders, chick-fil-a spicy chicken sandwiches, burgers with mayonnaise and ketchup, anything that has cheese on it, steak, seafood, and good ole Memphis BBQ.
Hannah
Hannah is outgoing and loves to dance. She enjoys being outside but hates bugs. She likes doing things like riding bikes and going out on the boat. Since she only lived 45 minutes away from New Orleans in Bay St. Louis, her favorite food has become Cajun food like crawfish and other seafood. Hannah is a big saints fan (whodat!) and Ole Miss fan (hotty toddy!). She is exited about moving here and being involved in the youth group because she hasn’t had a youth group and now has made friends with some of the Jr. High-Life students from the Edge. Her older sister Ann says something you need to know about Hannah is that she always perseveres through difficulties in life even if it seems impossible. She will find a way to get through it. She never gives up.
