Larroux “Lifts Up” Bikes or Bust
Friday, November 19, from 9-11am, Jean F. Larroux, III went up high on a lift for WZYP’s efforts to collect bikes for children. Even amidst his self-proclaimed fear of heights, Larroux announced in a live radio broadcast, “We’ll take any kind of bike: Baptist bikes, Methodist bikes, Catholic, Church of Christ, we’re just trying to encourage people to give.” Larroux was joined by Captain Buzz from WZYP and Joseph Newberry, President of Redstone Federal Credit Union, with a host of other Huntsville leaders to follow.
WZYP’s annual fundraiser is being held at Bill Penney Toyota on University Drive for 104 hours through Monday at 6pm. WZYP is once again partnering up with The US Marine’s Toys For Tots to help collect bikes for deserving children all over the Tennessee Valley. This year’s goal is 2010 bikes…. and they need your help.
Bring bikes (assembled or not) or cash donations to Bill Penney Toyota and help spread a bit of Christmas cheer!
