Southwood Presbyterian Church

Cook and/or serve breakfast for sunday school to Jr. high and Sr. high students and leaders.

Time Commitment: Sunday mornings 9:00-10:30 or 10:30-12:00. Volunteers can serve one or all Sundays throughout the year.

Provide snacks for high-life one or more Sunday nights during the school year. We ask volunteers to make homemade items for 100 students. A mix of sweet and salty is always preferred.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours of prep and drop off before 7pm one or more Sundays a year.

Hang out with students at High-Life. Volunteers need to have a love for students and a heart to serve in areas of greeting, photography, serving drinks, set-up, and clean-up.

Time Commitment: Sunday nights during the school year from 7:00-9:00

Hang out with students at Sunday School. Volunteers need to have a love for students and willing to greet, serve drinks, initiate conversation, set-up, and clean-up.

Teach Sunday school for the Sr. High class on Sunday mornings. Your involvement will be focused on the 30-45 minute teaching time during each Sunday morning class.

Time Commitment: 2-6 Sunday mornings a year 9:45-10:30 and 11:15-12:00

Co-lead a small group of high school students ranging from 9-12th grade various days of the week. Small group leaders are required to engage in the High-Life community by attending either Sunday School or High-Life each week, retreats, and special events throughout the year.

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours various days a week

Support worship leader by playing of instruments (guitar, bass, piano, or percussion) in large group on Sunday evenings for Youth Ministry during Senior High-Life. Volunteer must go through audition process.

Time Commitment: Sundays through the school year from 4:30-7:30. Personal preparation will be required.

Lead and engage students in worship in large group on Sunday evenings for Youth Ministry during Senior High-Life. Volunteers must have a passion for leading youth in worship, high energy preferred. Volunteer must go through audition process.

Operate video and slide equipment during large group on Wednesday or Sunday evenings for Youth Ministry during Junior or Senior High-Life. Volunteers must be familiar with Macs or willing to learn. A general understanding of ProPresenter, Garage Band, video editing, and creating photo slideshows is helpful but we will train willing learners.

Time Commitment: Wednesdays or Sundays through the school year from 5:00-7:30.

Operate audio and light equipment during large group on Wednesday or Sunday evenings for Youth Ministry during Junior or Senior High-Life. A general understanding of how to use a sound, light board and Mac is helpful. This is a paid position, training will be required.

Time Commitment: Wednesdays through the school year from 5:00-7:30, or Sundays through the school year from 4:00-7:30.
