Description: This year we have 3 tutoring options. Tutoring does not begin until after Labor Day. However, we would like to have several training sessions prior to startup. So, please volunteer as soon as possible.
Elementary School: Martin Luther King - approx. 30 minutes once a week during lunch hours
Middle School: Chapman Middle School - approx. 30 minutes once a week during lunch hours
After School Hours: The LINC (Village Church) - 5 - 6pm once a week
Time Commitment: Up to 1 hr. per week
Description: Help keep the Food Bank at Lincoln Village clean. The Food Bank is open on the second Tuesday morning of each month. It needs to be cleaned the week prior to its opening. Duties include vacuuming, mopping, etc.
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours once a month
Description: Prepare and cook an evening meal for 40 people (tutors, students, staff) at The Village Church kitchen.
Time Commitment: 3-4 hours on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday during the school year
Description: Tutor a child at the LINC after school program at The Village Church.
Time Commitment: 1.5 hours per week between 5pm and 6:30pm M / T / Th
Description: Tutor a child at Lincoln Elementary in North Huntsville during lunch time (10:50 am - 12:15 pm). Further screening may be required.
Time Commitment: 30 minutes per week during lunch time
