Greet/Provide Information for Nursery/Children’s Ministry

During Sunday mornings, greet families and children who participate in nursery, KidsWorship and Children's Sunday School. Greeters also have an informational/directional presence specific to Children's Ministry to help visitors and members alike. In addition, Greeters help ensure the comfort and safety of our our nursery and 2nd floor (PreK-6th.)
Greeters must be Southwood members who successfully complete an application which includes a background check.Time Commitment: Greeters serve each week throughout the school year (Aug 19, 2012 - May 31, 2013) from 9:30- 10:50am.

Serving once every two months to stand at the doors and greet guests as they arrive before the 8:00am service.

Connect with students at Jr. High-Life

Engage with students so that they feel welcomed, cared for, and encouraged to grow in grace at Jr. High-Life each week. Volunteers need to have a love for Jr. High students and a willingness to serve in ways such as greeting, taking attendance, serving food, setting up, cleaning up and playing games. All leaders must apply and be interviewed by staff to assess gifts and placement for ministry.
Time Commitment: 6:00-7:30 PM on Wednesdays during the school year

Engage with students so they feel welcomed, cared for, and encouraged to grow in grace during one of the TreeHouse (Sunday School) hours. Volunteers must have a love for Jr. High students and a heart to serve in areas of greeting and engaging students and setting up/breaking down tables and chairs. All leaders must apply and be interviewed by staff to assess gifts and placement for ministry.
Time Commitment: 9:15-10:45 AM or 10:45-12:15 AM each Sunday
