Southwood Presbyterian Church

Co-Teach lessons (material provided) in an engaging age appropriate way on Sunday mornings for 2 year olds during the Sunday school hour in the nursery. Volunteers must be members of Southwood and successful completion of a background check. Paid Nursery workers are present to assist in physical care of children.

Time Commitment: Sundays mornings through the school year (Aug 19, 2012 - May 31, 2013) from 9:45-10:45am. 30 minutes to 1 hour of preparation per week. Teaching takes only a portion of the class time. Remaining Needs: * 1 teacher for our 2 year old class at the 11:00 hour to serve weekly. * 2 subs to be available for our 2's and 3's class at 9:30 or 11:00 as the needs arise. * 2 substitute teachers to be available for the 2's or 3's class at 9:30 or 11:00am

Teaching children creatively in one of our large group environments on Sunday mornings.

The following opportunities are still open:
KidsWorship (PreK/K) - 1 teacher (teaches at both the 1st and 2nd service KidsWorship).
Promise Path (PreK/K) - 1 teacher during the Sunday School hour.
Hwy 34 (3rd/4th grade) - 1 teacher during the Sunday School hour.


To teach, you must be a Southwood member and successfully complete and application which includes a background check.

Time Commitment: Sundays, once a month, through the school year (Aug 19, 2012 - May 31, 2013). Teaching time on Sunday mornings is approximately 20 minutes. Prep time is anywhere from 1-2 hours per lesson.

Teach Sunday school for the Sr. High class on Sunday mornings. Your involvement will be focused on the 30-45 minute teaching time during each Sunday morning class.

Time Commitment: 2-6 Sunday mornings a year 9:45-10:30 and 11:15-12:00
