What To Expect

Sundays at Southwood revolve around corporate worship. While the Church worships all week as we live, work, and play wherever God has placed us throughout Huntsville, on the Lord’s Day we gather for worship among family, friends, and neighbors.

Connect Communities
for All Ages

  • The God we worship fills us with both overwhelming awe and overflowing joy. We seek to reflect that in our service as we sing traditional hymns and modern songs, often accompanied by piano, guitar, violin, and drums.

  • There is no "dress code." Some people will be in coats and ties, and some will be in jeans and sandals. Most dress in between, including our pastors.

  • We love and value having our children with us in worship and often communicate specifically to them during the service. We also offer a nursery, a nursing mothers’ room, and Kids Worship for K-1st grade during the sermon (second half of the service).

  • Yes. Our Connect Hour for all ages follows the worship service. Our kids enjoy classes walking through the Bible in a three-year track. Our youth meet at the Lodge (youth building) for junior and senior high connection. Our adult Connect Communities gather to discuss God’s Word and our lives across generations.

To all who are weary and need rest, mourn and long for comfort, feel worthless and wonder if God cares, struggle and desire strength, sin and need a Savior — we do, too.

Welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our great Hope and Joy, the reason we gather to celebrate and worship. Southwood opens wide our doors, hearts, and lives as our God has done for us.
