May 29 - August 14 (no meetings on June 12 or 19)
Get a fresh perspective on the book of Genesis by discovering how the stories, symbols, people, and promises point to Christ. Join us on Thursdays this summer from 2-3:30pm as we study Nancy Guthrie's The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis. Book cost is $14. Click the button to register and order your book.
Grace Groups are Southwood’s primary way of helping people connect, belong, and pursue God’s mission together. More than just small groups, they’re places where we experience and express God’s grace—deepening our relationships with God, one another, and our neighbors.
We offer men's, women's, and coed groups, and we hope everyone involved at Southwood will find a place in one. Most meet 2–4 times per month—either in homes around the city or at Southwood—on weekday evenings or Sunday mornings. Whether it’s sharing a meal, studying Scripture, or praying together, each group offers space for deeper connection, spiritual growth, and shared encouragement.
We’d love to help you explore whether a Grace Group is right for you.

Grace Groups are certainly no less than helping the people of Southwood find places to connect and belong, but they are so much more. Grace Groups are the largest doorway for the people of Southwood to pursue God’s mission together.
We pursue God’s mission together as we experience God’s grace in our lives and then express that same grace to the world around us while growing in the three key relationships that impact eternity.
God: As we reflect God’s glory and give him praise for the grace that he gives us through Jesus Christ, we express his grace to the world around us.
One Another: As we aim to live a life marked by forgiveness, reconciliation, and love that is grounded on the foundation of Christ, we express his grace to one other.
Neighbors: As we continue to live out the Gospel in the places where we live, work, and play, especially outside the doors Southwood, we express God’s grace to our neighbors.

A Grace Group can be a men’s group, a women’s group or a coed group. Our hope is that all our members (and regular attenders as well!) will join a Grace Group. We believe that group membership provides the best opportunity not only to connect with other believers outside of worship services, but also to grow deeper in relationship with Jesus through spending time together. The encouragement from these relationships goes beyond the group and into all the areas where we live, work, serve, and play.
-
WHEN: Groups will typically meet 2-4 times per month during the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Some groups continue to meet regularly through the Summer while some take a break from weekly meetings to focus on Community Building.
WHERE: Groups meet at different times throughout the week. They meet in various homes throughout our city or at Southwood.
-
Grace Groups have flexibility in how they allocate their time, but a typical meeting could include time for fellowship, sometimes eating a meal, group discussion, and prayer.

Circle Up is a great first step toward joining a Grace Group. Designed for those who aren’t yet part of a group but want to explore, this small-group gathering provides a relaxed and welcoming environment to connect with others, ask questions, and experience community. Circle Up typically meets twice a month by the fireplace during the Connect Hour (11 AM), making it an easy and inviting way to start your journey toward deeper connection.
